I recall I started the journey before the dawn
Goal seemed to be vision apart and every step was fun
Slowly and carefully or may be too carefully, voyage did fare
It’s been ages on this ship but the destination is as invisible as air
The venture must end, just like my bygone grit
I wait for right tick of 3 needles to make the path lit
I turned around, to find the way back drowned in mighty tears
Taking away from me all those happy years
The stars above the oceans so deep
Propound the message to let the hope leap
Catch some sleep, smile, and go on
For tomorrow is Monday……..lol!!

Where is the end????

........
Burnt in ashes the impeccable dreams
Replaced with addled ambitions, wrapped in uncertainty
Ceaseless smiles with concealed candor
Endless wait finally over
Call of the blooming flowers in the new morning
Everything back to peace
Singing the songs of blissful today
Story is complete now!!!

Made In India :)
I got same text message from 2-3 friends in india :
"Happy Independence day - Pls ignore if u are married or engaged " :)
Not that it never crossed my mind it was 15th Aug , but for some reason it more seemed to be Supriya's Birth date.
India then: cricket, trains, chai, samose, chole kulche, banking and govt jobs, tring tring phones, diwali, holi colors, dusherra, pittogram (marbles), paali, an apple shaped balloon, lots of steel dishes, melon seeds, silk, tricolor flags, doordarshan, family reunions in summers, saare jahan se acha song.
India today: cricket, cars, starbucks, pizzahut, McDs, IT jobs - Microsoft, Infosys, reliance, cell phones, valentines day, mother's n father's day, Wii games, heart shaped balloons, no steelware at all, sunflower seeds, cotton, tricolor face paints, laptops, cable, family meetings over the weekend, gyms, fwded mails stating why jan gan man shdnt be national anthem.
I wonder if kids wait for 4 o'clock like we used to in summers when mom starts to show signs of willingness to open the doors to sun. May be 6 yr olds are taking tuitions at that time now. I wonder if still people make make friends before they need them. I wonder if acid rain doesnt stop people from getting wet in rains, I wonder if 5 yrs olds still believe the Grandma when she talks of fairies and ghosts, I wonder if landline ring would make people run to say hello, Oh gosh............i truly wonder!!!! :)
***and i dont wonder at all if Chak de India was released last week to increase the sales :)
I actually spent hrs writing a poem on one of the independence days (i was probably in 6th std then). The poem was not so bad and was selected later for publish in school magazine......but i wonder why did i do tht??????
Did i really care so much about 15th Aug? or is it tht I have become so mean that I dont care at all..............
But hey nevertheless....always proud of being an Indian :) . Happy Independence day!!!

Someone is waiting for you
During this India visit I visited kanyasadan where you could donate school uniforms and sponser food for girls without home....well kanyasadan is their home. They stopped giving away children for adoption because it so happened in past that people would adopt them and then make them maid in home. How worse we so called educated people could get for doing this.
Well we all owe some kind of contribution to these kids- adoption (may be just financial), donations, educational assistance or fund raising for such causes.
So, think about it people if you havent so far.....
With memories of home all hazy and dark
She waits for redemption
Coloring her dreams with colors in rainbow’s arc
She knows her only chance is adoption
Dressed in the best blue she owns from donation
She stands in queue for one more interview session
She is five but holds courage of far beyond that age
And still we claim its hard to crack job interviews for hefty package
Another day has passed, and you haven’t still thought about her
She is still waiting in anticipation for your help to see this world!

Red
Red (lal) color is symbol of fire and blood so it evokes fight or flight and also signifies charity.
Red is about energy and passion and strength (shakti). Goddessess Durga and Lakshmi wear red.
Red symbolizes purity. In ancient times, in Aryan society, a groom used to apply his blood, on-his Bride's forehead as recognition of wedlock (not to mention aajkal it has been replaced by kumkum, probably guys dont believe in bloodshed nemore ;)).
For men Tilaka (red dot on forhead) is interpreted as good luck charm.
Red is a simulator and can result in increased blood pressure and respiratory rates, thus it acts as an excellent attention grabber.
